Vascular/Interventional Radiology

Dr. Mohammad Saeed is a board certified interventional radiologist who provides high-quality vascular health care to adult patients in the Rio Grande Valley area. He completed his training at the prestigious Brown Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital. He has over twenty years of experience in minimally invasive vascular procedures. He has a special interest in peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, venous insufficiency, and dialysis access management.

Dr. Saeed provides non-surgical and minimally invasive alternatives for patients with these conditions. Instead of traditional open surgery, he provides innovative therapies using pinhole incisions through microsurgeries. This approach allows for smaller incisions, a quicker recovery and better treatment outcomes. Vascular & Interventional Radiology is a rapidly advancing field of medicine that utilizes image-guided, minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. With the use of advanced imaging technologies, interventional radiologists are able to access and treat specific areas within the body, avoiding the need for traditional open surgery. This results in shorter recovery times, reduced pain, and fewer complications for patients.

  • Peripheral arterial disease - this can present as leg pain with exertion or poorly healing wounds in the legs and feet
  • Chronic venous insufficiency – this can present as varicose veins, leg swelling, heavy and aching legs, or poorly healing leg wounds
  • Dialysis access management – maintaining AV fistulas and catheters of dialysis patients
